Program Overview
The Health & Wellness Minor at Shawnee State University introduces students to the core principles of personal health, nutrition, wellness promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Designed to complement a variety of majors—from health sciences and education to psychology and business—this minor builds foundational knowledge that supports healthier habits in individuals and communities alike.
With a blend of practical coursework and behavioral health insights, students gain the tools to promote primary prevention strategies, support wellness programs, and understand the links between physical activity, nutrition, and lifelong health.
