BASIC Emergency Medical Technician
June 2-27, 2025 | Capacity: 16 Students
Positions for emergency medical technicians are available in private ambulance companies, hospitals, industry, fire departments, 911 dispatch offices, and the armed forces. Law enforcement agencies, park services, ski patrols, and other groups train their personnel to become EMT-Bs or paramedics as part of their duties. To earn certification, participants must be 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a current valid driver’s license, complete medical record with recent TB, Tetanus, MMR, and Hepatitis B vaccines, sign a criminal history statement, pass a drug screen, and background check. Clinical experiences are included in this track.
Phlebotomy
June 2-20, 2025 | Capacity: 40 Students
This in-depth course will train you to become a phlebotomist, a medical professional trained to draw blood through venipuncture for testing, research, donations, and more. Gainful employment in the field of allied healthcare is within arm’s reach.
Hospitals, blood banks, and other medical facilities are continuously in need of experienced phlebotomists who carry proper training and certification. Clinical experiences are included in this track.
Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certificate
June 2-20, 2025 | Capacity: 60 Students
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) program provides participants with the opportunity to earn the Certified Production Technician (CPT + Skill Boss) credential, an industry-recognized certification highly valued in manufacturing and supply chain logistics. The program focuses on four core areas: safety, quality practices and management, manufacturing processes and production, and maintenance awareness.
This comprehensive training equips participants with essential skills to enhance job performance and retention. Graduates often secure roles as Operators, with starting wages around $30 per hour. Many workers in the community who have previously completed this credential are now earning $30–$50 per hour with benefits, showcasing the program’s potential for long-term career advancement.
CompTIA IT Fundamentals
June 2-20, 2025 | Capacity: 10 Students
CompTIA Introduction: IT Fundamentals (ITF+) certification is designed for individuals exploring a career in IT or seeking a foundational understanding of essential IT concepts.
This entry-level certification covers core topics such as basic IT terminology, software and hardware basics, security principles, and troubleshooting techniques. ITF+ provides a solid grounding in technology, making it an excellent starting point for students or professionals looking to build a career in IT support, cybersecurity, or system administration.
As technology continues to shape every industry, ITF+ equips learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a successful, in-demand career in information technology.
Social Media (SM) for Business and Microsoft Office or Entrepreneurship
June 2-20, 2025 | Capacity: 40 Students
Prepare for a career in business by understanding ways the most popular SM platforms interact and engage with users, identifying techniques an organization can use to leverage social media presence to build meaningful relationships with key audiences, and evaluating the success or failure of SM presence based on basic measures of engagement. Participants will also earn six hours of college credit by completing the Microsoft Office Certificate or two hours of credit by completing the entrepreneurship track.
This entrepreneurship preparation program is designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with essential skills and tools to start their own businesses. Participants will receive training in an entrepreneurial mindset to foster resilience, creativity, and opportunity recognition—key traits for successful business ownership.
As part of the program, they’ll earn certificates in QuickBooks for managing finances, graphic design for branding and marketing, and AI for Business for efficient business operations. In addition to technical skills, the program includes a valuable mentorship opportunity where participants connect with established entrepreneurs in their chosen fields, allowing for personalized guidance and networking.
With this comprehensive approach, participants will leave with a strong foundation and practical resources to launch and grow their ventures confidently. This program is offered in partnership with ECDI.
Paraprofessional
June 2-20, 2025 | Capacity: 20 Students
This paraprofessional preparation includes training in areas such as classroom management, instructional strategies, and child development, as well as all necessary coursework and study materials to pass the Ohio paraprofessional certification exam.
Additionally, the program includes critical certifications in First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse and Neglect Recognition and Prevention, Handle with Care, and Management of Communicable Disease, meeting the requirements for employment in child care and educational settings. These qualifications are designed to ensure that participants are not only prepared for the exam but also for hands-on responsibilities in a variety of educational environments.
Upon completion, they will be ready to support students effectively and contribute meaningfully to their educational teams. *Does not include the cost of the assessment.
